Ad Budget Guardian Agent.

An agent that checks your ad spend every morning: pauses ASINs burning budget with no sales, shifts spend toward winners, and sends one summary instead of a dashboard dive.

The workflow

How the agent runs

1

Pull yesterday's spend

Campaigns, ASINs, spend, sales, and conversion — from the ad platforms, before you start your day.

2

Find the bleeders

ASINs spending past your threshold with zero or near-zero sales get flagged with their 7-day history, not just one bad day.

3

Shift, don't just cut

Freed budget is proposed for the winners — same total budget, better allocation. Raising total spend is never the agent's call.

4

Pause with a reason

Approved pauses execute with the reason logged, so nothing is ever off and nobody knows why.

5

One summary

Spend, sales, what changed, what needs your call. Ninety seconds to read.

Reported pattern from sellers running this: 8–15% of spend was going to ASINs with no sales in 7+ days. The guardian doesn't find new winners — it stops paying for proven losers, every day, without being reminded.

1 · Get a FreshCrawl subscription

The agent runs on live marketplace data. FreshCrawl plans start free (1,000 credits), paid plans from $29/mo — every plan includes MCP access and an API key. freshcrawl.io →

2 · Link the MCP to your LLM

In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom FreshCrawl MCP connector — server crawl.onewally.com/mcp — and paste your FreshCrawl API key. Your LLM can now pull live offers, Buy Box history, and sales estimates itself.

📋

3 · Paste the prompt

Copy the prompt below into your LLM and name your store. The agent runs against the live data it can now reach — no code, no exports.

Step 3 · Paste this into your LLM

# Ad Budget Guardian MY STORE (fill in once): - Store name: [your store name] - Seller ID or storefront URL: [paste it — the agent uses it to find your catalog] - Marketplace: [Walmart US / Amazon US] First, use the FreshCrawl MCP to look up my store, pull my catalog, and work only on my listings. If you can't identify my store from what I gave you, ask me for my storefront URL before anything else. RUN SCHEDULE (set this where you run the prompt): - Run this prompt: daily at 6:30 AM. - If your LLM app supports scheduled/recurring tasks, set it there; otherwise re-paste the prompt on that cadence. DATA SOURCES: my ad account data is the source of truth. Feed it to you two ways: (a) I attach the campaign exports, or (b) we integrate with the Amazon Ads API and/or the Walmart Connect API directly — if no integration exists yet, write it with me first, then pull performance yourself on schedule. (Use the FreshCrawl MCP, if connected, for listing context — prices, offers, stock — never as the ad data source.) Review yesterday's campaigns. Flag every ASIN with spend over $25 and zero sales in the last 7 days. For each, show 7-day spend, clicks, and the last sale date. Propose pauses and where the freed budget should go among my top 5 converting ASINs. Never increase my total budget. Return one summary table with your proposals. EXECUTION — READ CAREFULLY: By default you PROPOSE pauses and budget shifts and I execute them in the ads console. If I connect the ads API and pre-approve written rules (pause any ASIN over $25 spend with zero sales in 7 days; never raise my total budget), you may execute exactly those moves through the API and report each one the same morning. Anything outside the written rules stays a proposal. Never claim a campaign was changed until the API confirms it.

The prompt gets you the shape. The reliable version runs on live data through the MCP — that's steps 1 and 2 above.

Questions sellers ask

Can it raise my budget?

No. Its authority is capped: pause and reallocate inside the budget you set. Increases are always your decision.

One bad day won't trigger a pause?

Correct — flags require a 7-day pattern, so a slow Tuesday doesn't kill a good ASIN.

Agencies: multiple accounts?

It runs per account and can roll the summaries into one agency digest.

How does it get my ad data?

Two ways: attach campaign exports, or integrate with the Amazon Ads API / Walmart Connect API directly — the prompt has the agent write that integration with you if it doesn't exist. With the API connected and rules pre-approved in writing, it can also execute those exact moves; everything else stays a proposal.
